A typical good morning in America starts with breakfast. This might start with a cup of coffee (keto-friendly, so we are on a roll), popping some toast in the toaster (Houston we have a problem), or a big bowl of cereal (well that just won’t fly).

In the keto Facebook groups I belong to, I see this complaint all too often, “I miss my cereal!”, or if you are like me, then you may reach your limit fairly quickly with yet another egg breakfast. I have put together a few keto-friendly breakfast options that will get you out of your breakfast doldrums and excited to get out of bed in the morning!

Easy Keto Biscuits and Gravy from Hey Keto Mama

When you are eating keto and you begin to despair that you will never get to enjoy another warm slice of buttered toast again, fear not. There are keto bread alternatives that can curb your “carby” cravings!

2.) When my garden is overproducing zucchini, as gardens are wont to do, what is left to do but make zucchini bread! The combination of hazelnut, vanilla, and cocoa is reminiscent of a Nutella spread. A bowl of this sweet treat with milk is sure to curb the worst cereal cravings.

6.) Muffins are another morning treat that pairs well with that first cup of coffee of the day. In the hunt for the best keto muffin recipe, this one stood up to the test. I am a big fan of a good lemon poppy seed muffin, and this keto version is a great replacement for the sugary carb-heavy confections you find in stores. Anna at Keto in Pearls emphasizes clean ingredients, and with her southern charm permeating her recipes and a focus on unprocessed keto ingredients, her recipes do not disappoint.

Sometimes eggs and bacon on repeat can get old, but maybe that old classic just needs to be dressed up differently to catch your fancy!

7.) I love a savory breakfast. So, I endeavored to create a combination of keto pancake perfection that when loaded up with classic breakfast ingredients would serve to satisfy that craving. 9.) The breakfast burrito is another item that flew out the window at the café where I used to work. 10.) Last but never least, no breakfast repertoire is complete without the age-old classic, the pancake. You can enjoy pancakes on the keto diet you just have to use a keto recipe and top them with sugar-free syrup. Check out my recipe for keto pancakes here!

Breakfast on the keto diet does not have to be limited to eggs and bacon. Don’t get me wrong being able to indulge in those delicious breakfast classics is a perk of this way of eating, but if you are willing to get a little bit creative in the kitchen, then you can bust out of the breakfast doldrums! These are just a few of the many options that are available to you on the keto diet.
